Strategicals Bases

Consequence of your position and the choice of your seat at Texas Holdem in a game of online poker

-Select the better seat for you...Players of poker make their placing in clockwise.
the most important is to identify all the better players and take the seat left of them.
The third seat before the button "dealer" (at left) are in "early position", whereas if you are the button "dealer" or after it (at right), you are in "late position".
All players between these two positions are in "middle" position.
If you are in "early position" you can play only if you have good cards in your hand because you don't know the game of others players.
If you are in "middle" position you can play more, and particulary when all players in early position are folded.
Advantage to be in "late" position is your angle of view. You can construe the behaviour of others players.

The big advantage is when you are the button "dealer", because you are the last player. In this position you can play with spiel (it depends the behaviour of others players) and most particulary when later in the game.

Strategy for the game before the flop

You have your cards in your hand, now the most important is to know the hierarchy of yours cards...

In principle, you must play with your 2 high cards (most than 10!), or for example one Ace and one 9 or others card with Ace! Or one pair (most than 7).

High cards which following (example: 9+10) and little pair can be played. It depends your position and lots of parameter:

-Number of players: in a game with 10 players, it's very difficult to have the best game. You will need 2 high cards (minimum jack) or high pair to play.

-Your bankroll

-Others players play with pushing: lots of amateur player bet all time, let them win blind and wait a good hand to take all them money.

Don't forget this: to become a good player the most important is PATIENCE.

A player who play lot of hand is statistically loser!!

Spiel at Poker??

Spiel must be use by experienced player. Spiel is effective when you play against a good player, because bad player bet all time.

In "poker limit" is better to bluff early (at the flop) because when a good player bet lot of he can't fold...

It important to know when you can't spiel...Generaly when lots of players bet or check.

The best moment to spiel:

-Few players are stayed in the game. Statiscally there isn't good game on the table, so it's good moment bluff.

- Bet on the "river": when the dealer show the river, all players know exactly his hand. it's an opportunity to attempt a spiel but only if before in the game players play with pushing.

-When you are at betting position: when you are in late position and all player had check you can bet in order to fold the little hand.

- Bet before the flop: if you bet before the flop and you haven't your cards on the flop you can bluff now and the others players think you have a high pair.

-pair on the table: if there is a pair on the table you can bluff and other player can think you have a three of a kind.

Check, Bet, Raise:

-bet on the flop: if you hesitate between check and bet. the best is "bet", because like this there is no free card (a player with little hand folds and he can't see the flop).
-raise on the flop: the goal of this is to have a big pot!
Don't forget: better players in the world change their rhythm in the game to be a player not identifiable.
